We are proud to offer this beautiful 1962 MGA for sale at a very competitive price. As with all classic cars, you can buy one for less money but you will rarely find a nicer example than USL884.
The MGA was born out of two strands of activity, one was the Americans discovery of British sports cars in the years after the Second World War with the car responsible for that being the MG TC of 1945-1950. The second was MGs quest to be recognised as a serious sports car maker which meant that the company needed to be involved in motorsport and such things as setting speed and endurance records.
Initially, output of the 1600 overlapped that of the previously offered Twin Cam. Interestingly enough, the new models powerplant was a pushrod version of the 1588cc engine but borrowed compression ratio, carburation, and valve timing from the 1500.
This Mk11 is in fantastic condition, drives really well and will be a delight to any owner who wants to relive the era and experience the best that MG had to offer back then. We are entirely confident that the next owner of this lovely car will want to keep it for many years. Viewing by appointment only.
